IPS Technology Benefits

An educated Construction Industry is our greatest asset.

With the success of IPS projects, more and more engineers, architects & builders are considering HVAC system featuring IPS based designs. Reduced capital costs, impressive energy efficiency and a 12-year record of success make IPS Technology the right system choice for qualified applications.

Un-limited Applications Benefit:

  • - Limited service
  • - suite and extended stay hotels
  • - lodge, resort, senior care
  • - assisted living centers
  • - condominiums
  • - dormitories
  • - apartments
  • - army barracks
  • - commercial offices
  • - schools, MURB’s High Rise Towers
    & many more…

Our Unique, Innovative & Affordable Green HVAC

Systems & Products brings a breath of fresh air to your

LEED, Energy Savings &
Environmental Achievements

So your project can become a model of

Unpresidented Eco-Friendly design.

Benefit for Builders

  • • Reduces project capital cost - no dedicated piping and equipment required for space heating such as boilers, pumps and storage tanks.
  • • Reduce operating cost with superior system efficiency - equipment and greater central plant efficiency means a tighter reign on energy usage.
  • • Transfers more operating cost savings to occupants.
  • • Reduces commissioning time.
  • • Lowers overall electrical requirements and total pump horsepower for reduced energy costs.
  • • Increased Property Value – Better comfort and lower operating cost translate into higher operating income and may increase the resale value of your property.
  • • LEED-friendly energy savings – up to 60% more efficient than packaged terminal units, up to 20% to 40% more efficient than 2-pipe hydronic, WSHP or variable DX systems.
  • With IPS and other Complementary technologies, many buildings on Dockside Green Community Project achieved 10 maximum points in EA credit 1 under LEED NC-200

  • • Central plant advantage - when terminal systems are applied to any application, efficiency drops due to units cycling at purchased horsepower rather than the demand in your building. And all at a higher dollar-per-ton cost for equipment. The fan coil system can be up to 70% more efficient than unitary based systems.
  • • Hydronic transfer means superior efficiency – since moving BTUs in water is vastly more efficient than moving them in air, experts agree that hydronic heating and cooling is one of the most comfortable and energy-efficient methods for space conditioning.

Benefit for Engineers & Designers

Easy to Design & Engineered

  • • ABS provides design assistance.
  • • Reduces design time:
  • – Sizing similar to plumbing system design.
  • – Sizing similar to plumbing system design.
  • • Due to adaptive nature of IPS, the system design process is relatively simple & very similar to plumbing design approach.
  • • No oversizing due to match loading configuration which means the project installed cooling / heating capacities are only +5% higher than project design/calculated loads.

Benefit for Contractors

Easy to Install

  • • Less pipe required – unlike conventional hydronic systems that require as many as five pipes running throughout the building, IPS"! requires the addition of only one cold water return pipe to satisfy HVAC requirements.
  • • Elimination of heating-specific equipment – By utilizing the domestic water heating-related equipment and distribution system for space heating, the need for surplus, dedicated equipment is eliminated.
  • • Associated equipment reduction –these costs – sometimes referred to as “interface costs” – are all costs associated with the installation of a second set of pipes. They include surplus building space, fittings, valves, chases, insulation, hangers, various treatments along with management and maintenance.
  • • Reduced labor costs –labor costs associated with all the above is either greatly reduced or eliminated altogether. At the core of IPS"! and it’s energy efficiency is the central plant advantage!
  • • Dual purpose Mechanical system with Central heating & cooling plant.
  • • Reduces the time required to flush the system.
  • • Rapid construction
  • • ABS ESCO provides training and after sales support.

Few Cost Saving Facts of QQ Project:

  • • Dual purpose Mechanical system with Central heating & cooling plant.
  • • Replace Suites Air Conditioning (CGC Hybrid unit SKH Models) with IPS Fan coils.
  • • Relatively Smaller Horizontal Geothermal Field Size.
  • • Deletion of Radiant Heating (Wall) System.
  • • Deletion of Radiant Heating (Wall) System.
  • • Deletion of In Slab Heating
  • • Deletion of HVAC Boiler with accessories.
  • • Reduction in HVAC Ductwork
  • • Deletion of HVAC Distribution Piping c/w insulation
  • • Less Chemical Treatment & Cleaning required.
  • • Reduction in Testing, Balancing & Commissioning Scope of work
  • • Reduction in Control Scope of Work
  • • Use of PEX piping to be embedded in hollow core slab instead of copper piping connected to each plumbing fixture.

Benefit for Building Operators

Easy to Control and Operate!

• IPS™, controls are relatively simple, giving a peace of mind to building operator as they can operate the building proficiently without going into excessive system training.

Benefit for Occupants

• Quite Operation – System uses Fan coil which do not need noisy Compressor, results in quiet and comfort environment in the space.

• More Dehumidification – IPS Fan coil uses a low-flow, high-latent coil design, pre-selected for IPS application at 40°F to 50°F EWT and a 10°F Delta T, which results in better indoor air quality than heat pump system and better environment that is free of mold growth.

• Increased comfort -true hydronic heating and cooling comfort for a lot less than traditional systems. Improved indoor air quality with individual control, reduced draft and stratification, less ON-OFF cycling, variable air flows, variable water flows, variable leaving air temperature & dehumidification.
